My wife got us tickets to see President Bush, the "Governator" Arnold S..huh how do you spell his name? and Laura Bush at a rally here in Columbus. This is the first time I have ever, ever seen a president in person, well sorta, I was, as you can see below, we were way up there! The place was packed! And talk about noise! I have been to OSU basketball games, MLB games, MLS games, high school games, rock concerts and have never heard so much noise made by the audience!
When Arnold S. spoke, he said something like hello Ohio and it took ten minutes for him to say the next line. I think it took twenty minutes for him to say two sentences. And when the president got up, woah! He just stood there and smiled.
They had just arrived from Toledo and you know, it must be very tiring to campaign. If it is Friday, it must be Ohio, right?
Kerry was here the night before and I heard that after Bruce Springsten was done singing or whatever he does, most of the people left. No one left here!
You know, as I get ready to deploy, I hope and pray that Bush is re-elected. It -could I say scares me?-worries me what Kerry would do, or be unable to do if elected. From all that I have read and heard him say, I find him very unqualified to be a commander-in-chief in a time of war.
Here is a photo of the big, big crowd Friday.

The rally, lots of people! Posted by Hello

I finally found my USB cord for my camera and now can download my photos. Here is a photo of what my students wrote. Thank you very much.

The clock is ticking

I took a photo of my white board today....My students have written messages to me on the board all week since I have told them that I am leaving next week. I hadn't planned on telling them until next week, but someone blabbed and so I decided to tell them. It definitely wasn't easy to do so.
I knew it would be hard, but didn't think it would be at the same time. I really, really tried to put on a happy face and act nonchalant, but that didn't work. Needless to say, many were upset and all didn't want me to leave. It is nice to know how they feel about me. They are all good kids and work hard on their assignments for me. I do enjoy teaching them and that is what makes it all the harder to leave...
When I can find my USB plug I will post a photo of my white board and all its messages.
